Coursework and Preparation Programs You'll Need:

You'll need a Bachelor's Degree before you can teach in Kansas schools. There are no special undergraduate coursework requirements in individual subject areas for Kansas teacher certification. Reciprocity Agreements

The State of Kansas has reciprocity agreements to accept teaching credentials from most other states. Kansas belongs to the NASDTEC Interstate Contract, the Interstate New Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium, and  the Central States Exchange Agreement with South Dakota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Missouri, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
