Coursework and Preparation Programs You’ll Need:

You’ll need a Bachelor’s Degree before you can teach in Colorado schools. There are no special undergraduate coursework requirements in individual subject areas for Colorado teacher certification. You will, however, need to complete a Colorado-approved teacher preparation program.

Tests

No test for basic skills is required For teacher certification in Colorado. However, you’ll need to take either
The Program for Licensing Assessments for Colorado Educators (PLACE) Official Site | PLACE Test

The State of Colorado has reciprocity agreements to accept teaching credentials from most other states.
