You’ll need a Bachelor’s Degree before you can teach in Missouri schools. Coursework requirements for teachers vary considerably depending on the subject areas being taught. You will need to complete a Missouri-approved teacher certification program. A list of approved programs is available here:

For teacher certification in Missouri, you won’t need to take a test for basic skills. However, you’ll need to take the Principles of Learning and Teaching (PLT) portion of the
Praxis 2 Exams Official Site: http://www.ets.org | Praxis 2 Test
and one or more of the Praxis II tests in specific subject areas.

The State of Missouri has reciprocity agreements to accept teaching credentials from most other states.
